It\u2019s designed for people with a basic understanding of beekeeping practices, but all beekeepers should find it helpful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The course was developed by&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.planthealthaustralia.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Plant Health Australia<\/a>&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/honeybee.org.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Australian Honey Bee Industry Council<\/a>&nbsp;with funding from&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.agrifutures.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AgriFutures Australia<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What you will get from doing the course<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>After doing the course, you will be able to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Check your hives for pests and diseases<\/li><li>Identify the major pests and diseases of honey bees<\/li><li>Take action after finding a serious pest or disease in your hive<\/li><li>Minimise the impact of pests and diseases on your hives<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to enrol<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you are&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/honeybee.canopihr.com.au\/auth\/login\/?returnUrl=%2F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">on the login page for the course<\/a>, there are a few simple steps to enrol, and then you will be able to access and complete the course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you need more help, a step by step guide to get started is available in the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/beeaware.org.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Biosecurity-for-beekeepers-July2020.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Biosecurity for Beekeepers fact sheet.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An online training course has been developed to make it easy for beekeepers to find out how to care for honey bees, in accordance with the new\u00a0Australian Honey Bee Industry Biosecurity Code of Practice.
