Participants develop skills in pasture and animal assessment that improve the productivity and sustainability of grazing systems.<br> Riverina Local Services has teamed up with Phil Graham, from Phil Graham Consulting to offer PROGRAZE\u00ae to Riverina based producers during the 2022 to 2023 Financial year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PROGRAZE\u00ae will help you to:<br> \u2022 visually assess pasture<br> \u2022 understand how pasture quality &amp; quantity impact animal  production<br> \u2022 match pastures to livestock requirements<br> \u2022 assess livestock fat score\/condition<br> \u2022 use grazing management to improve productivity and sustainability  of pastures<br> \u2022 use grazing management to help control worms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The course<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Hands on learning\u2019 and skill development.<br> PROGRAZE\u00ae consists of 8 x \u00bd day workshops, generally held 4 &#8211; 6 weeks apart.<br> The course is hands-on, conducted on group member\u2019s farms with in-paddock activities and discussion. The first workshops will be starting in September 2022.<br> There is an opportunity to participate with one of the groups across Central and Eastern Riverina districts, with participants from 12 \u2013 18 farms per group. It is best if participants come from a local regional area to reduce travel and ensure grazing management issues are similar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Course fee<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>$400 (+GST) per farm business, which is heavily subsidized by NSW Government funding, with full cost of $4000 per participant.
