Projects should focus on providing education opportunities, environmental sustainability, safety and wellbeing, along with initiatives that energise communities.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/birdlife.org.au\/awards\/community-conservation-grants\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Community grants<\/a> (Birdlife Australia)<\/p>\n<p>Close 4 May<\/p>\n<p>Grants of up to $10,000 are available in two streams: Community Participation &amp; Volunteering projects should encourage community engagement and volunteering in the conservation and advocacy for Australian birds and their habitats. The Conservation and Applied Research stream provides funding for projects which conserve birds at a local or landscape scale, or contribute to applied research into bird conservation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tuckerfoundation.org.au\/guidelines\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tucker Foundation grants<\/a> (Albert and Barbara Tucker Foundation)<\/p>\n<p>EOIs close 31 May<\/p>\n<p>Grants of up to $25,000 are on offer for work towards social change towards increasing the equal treatment and social acceptance of all persons in the community; or the protection of wildlife and habitat and rehabilitation of flora and fauna.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nwf.org.au\/grants\/small-environmental-grants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Small environmental grants<\/a> (Wettenhall Environment Trust)<\/p>\n<p>OPEN 15 June, 14 September &amp; 14 December<\/p>\n<p>Grants of up to $10,000 are available to support projects that will make a positive difference to the natural living environment, in land, sea or air, rural or urban. Projects should be focused on flora and fauna conservation or threatened mammal conservation, and should involve: monitoring, recording and sharing data; delivering community education; providing community capacity building; or research and science.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"ml-rte-link-wrapper\" data-redactor-span=\"true\"><a href=\"https:\/\/frrr.org.au\/funding\/src-small-vital\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Strengthening Rural Communities grants<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(Foundation for Rural &amp; Regional Renewal)<\/p>\n<p>Close 24 June, 17 September<\/p>\n<p>Grants are available for a broad range of grassroots initiatives that benefit local communities. Under the \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/frrr.org.au\/funding\/src-small-vital\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Small &amp; Vital<\/a>\u2019 stream, grants of up to $10,000 are available for communities with fewer than 15,000 people, to complete 12-month projects that benefit local communities. Demonstrations are designed to promote the adoption of climate-smart farming technologies and management practices that are of interest to producers, and likely to encourage producers to explore and implement new skills and approaches within their own operations. Up to $10,000 is available to fund the establishment of the demonstration site, including baseline surveys.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pacefarm.com\/about-us\/community-grants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Community grants<\/a> (Pace Farm)<\/p>\n<p>Close 30 June, 30 September &amp; 31 December<\/p>\n<p>Grants of up to $5,000 are available to fund projects that have positive and measurable benefits for their community, and have the potential for long-term impact beyond the grant.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/inlandrail.com.au\/opportunities\/community-grants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Inland Rail Sponsorships<\/a> (Inland Rail)<\/p>\n<p>Close 31 July (open 1 May), 31 October &amp; 31 Jan 2027<\/p>\n<p>Community groups are invited to submit applications to fund an activity, event or project that will benefit your local community. Funding of between $1,000 and $4,000 is available for individuals and organisations in regional areas along the Inland Rail route that contribute to local and regional prosperity, well-being and sustainability<strong>. <\/strong>Projects have 12 months for completion.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehondafoundation.com.au\/application\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Honda Foundation grants<\/a> (The Honda Foundation)<\/p>\n<p>Close 8 August<\/p>\n<p>Grants are available for causes that empower disadvantaged Australians.\u00a0Applicants must be approved Deductible Gift Recipient organisations.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"ml-rte-link-wrapper\" data-redactor-span=\"true\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nab.com.au\/about-us\/sustainability\/nab-foundation\/community-grants\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NAB Foundation Community grants<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(NAB Foundation)<\/p>\n<p>Close 14 September (open 17 Aug)<\/p>\n<p>Grants of up to $25,000 are available for 12-month local projects to help communities withstand and recover from natural disasters. Projects should relate to one of the categories: Training &amp; planning, Community recovery, Environment &amp; wildlife, or Equipment &amp; infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.macmahon.com.au\/sustainability\/social\/community-engagement\/macmahon-foundation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Macmahon grants<\/a>\u00a0(Macmahon Foundation)<\/p>\n<p><span data-redactor-span=\"true\" data-redactor-style-cache=\"background-color: transparent;\">Ongoing<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-redactor-span=\"true\" data-redactor-style-cache=\"background-color: transparent;\">Grants of up to $10,000 are available for projects that support lasting impact in the areas of: environment, First Nations engagement, education, and\/or health &amp; wellbeing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"ml-rte-link-wrapper\" data-redactor-span=\"true\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wildcountryfund.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wild Country grants<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(Wild Country Environmental Fund)<\/p>\n<p>Ongoing<\/p>\n<p>Grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 are available for projects that support the protection of the wild places, flora and fauna of Australia. The Program is designed to have transformational, sustainable impact. It is designed for individuals working in the science, advocacy, policy or management of water and the environment. Each course includes two 5-day in-person sessions, one on Country and one in Canberra.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/landcareaustralia.org.au\/landcare-conference-and-landcare-awards\/state-territory-landcare-awards-and-national-landcare-awards\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2026 State &amp; Territory Landcare Awards<\/a> (Landcare Australia)<\/p>\n<p>Nominations close 31 July<\/p>\n<p>These Awards honour individuals, groups and organisations that are making outstanding contributions to caring for the environment in their local communities. There are weekly online discussion and mentoring sessions, access to a Fellowship network, and an experiential learning project with a real-life social enterprise.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenfleet.com.au\/pages\/landowners\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Native forest revegetation opportunities<\/a> (Greenfleet)<\/p>\n<p>Ongoing<\/p>\n<p>Landholders are invited to contact Greenfleet to discuss revegetating your land with native trees. Planting areas must be a minimum of 10 hectares, previously cleared of native vegetation, and suitable for legal protection of the trees over time on title. If your project is approved, Greenfleet will prepare and plant the site, and maintain the forest until it is established.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/regionalnsw.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_8iFuw0qJCfZrH7w\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Local Strategic Plan feedback<\/a> (Riverina Local Land Services)<\/p>\n<p>Riverina Local Land Services are commencing development of the 2027-2032 Local Strategic Delivery Plan, and are seeking input to help shape regional priorities, focus areas and direction for the next five years.
