The festival is delivered by Murrumbidgee Landcare, ErinEarth, The Pro Patria Centre and the Demonstration Gardens, with support from Wagga Wagga City Council and local businesses from across the region.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s all about showcasing Riverina farmers, growers, producers, makers and community gardens, connecting people with where their food comes from, and celebrating everything that makes this region special.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]

We need volunteers!<\/h2><\/div><\/div>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]The Harvest Riverina Festival is completely volunteer-powered, and it takes a lot of helping hands to keep everything running smoothly. You don\u2019t need special skills – just a willingness to pitch in. You can help for a couple of hours, a half day, or more if you like.<\/p>\n

Some of the ways you could help include:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Site mark-out helpers – Marking stall and fencing locations before festival day<\/li>\n
  • Set-up – Setting up gazebos, chef\u2019s tent, tables, chairs, signage (Friday and\/or Saturday)<\/li>\n
  • Pack down – Packing down tents, furniture, signage (Friday and\/or Saturday)<\/li>\n
  • Bin monitors – Helping with recycling\/landfill sorting, swapping full bins<\/li>\n
  • Crowd counters – Counting visitor numbers<\/li>\n
  • Vendor support – Checking with stalls, helping with small issues<\/li>\n
  • Raffle & information tent assistants – Selling tickets, greeting visitors, sharing info<\/li>\n
  • Kids’ art space helpers – Assisting children with painting and creative activities<\/li>\n
  • Stage assistants – Helping performers and stage crew<\/li>\n
  • Survey team – Collecting short feedback surveys from attendees<\/li>\n
  • Toilet monitors – Checking cleanliness, restocking supplies<\/li>\n
  • General crowd support<\/li>\n
  • Photography or videography<\/li>\n
  • Washing-up station support<\/li>\n
  • Backstage support<\/li>\n
  • Helping out in the chef\u2019s demo tent<\/li>\n
  • Supporting workshops<\/li>\n
  • Traffic and site support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Why volunteer?<\/h2><\/div><\/div>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]Volunteering at the festival is a great way to get involved with your community, meet new people, and be part of something special. You\u2019ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the festival, help support local farmers and producers, and contribute to an event that brings the Riverina together. Plus, it\u2019s fun!<\/p>\n
