Overview:

Join Murrumbidgee Landcare for a supportive and creative school holiday workshop exploring Gelli Art printing inspired by animals.

Delivered in partnership with the Wagga Autism Support Group, this session is designed specifically for young people with autism, offering a welcoming environment to explore creativity at their own pace. Participants will experiment with colour, pattern, and texture while creating their own unique monoprint artworks.

Throughout the session, participants will:

  • Learn how to use paint markers to draw directly onto Gelli printing plates.
  • Experiment with bold colours, shapes, and patterns in a relaxed setting.
  • Explore layering techniques by rolling paint and transferring images onto paper.
  • Create a series of one-of-a-kind monoprint artworks inspired by favourite animals.
  • Engage in creative expression in a supportive and inclusive environment.

This workshop encourages creativity, confidence, and self-expression through accessible, hands-on art-making.

Who should attend:

Young people with autism aged 10 years and over who are interested in creative activities and art

What to bring:

All materials will be provided. Please wear clothes suitable for painting.
