Carbon & Biodiversity on Farm: Understanding Opportunities for Your Business
Date: Friday 22nd May 2026
Time: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Location: Cootamundra Library
Join us for a FREE practical workshop designed to help landholders and agricultural professionals better understand carbon farming and biodiversity project opportunities, and how they may fit within your farm business.
With growing interest in natural capital markets, this session will provide clear, accessible information on the types of projects available, what’s required to participate, and the expected economic returns.
Throughout the session, participants will:
- Gain a clear understanding of how Environmental Planting Carbon Credits and Biodiversity projects work.
- Learn about eligibility, management requirements, and key considerations before getting involved.
- Walk through a Case Study with a local producer to compare project scenarios to find out how environmental outcomes can be stacked with genuine economic returns.
- Look at how real-life options for restoration efforts can be commercially attractive by shining a light on the economics of how Carbon and Biodiversity credits work on farm.
Who should attend:
Farm business owners, agronomists, consultants, and anyone interested in natural capital and on-farm environmental opportunities.
Morning tea and lunch provided.
This event is supported by the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust.
