Native Seed Processing: Planning, Recovery & Planting with guest speaker Martin Driver from PlainSense Vegetation Management.

Join us for a FREE hands-on workshop focused on restoring and strengthening local seed production areas. This event will guide landholders and community members through assessing, managing, and planning for long-term native seed supply to support biodiversity and regional revegetation projects.

 

Throughout the day, participants will:

  • Learn to identify key local species and prioritise planting actions to enhance seed production.
  • Build practical skills in plant identification, seed collection, handling, and planting.
  • Explore seed processing techniques using local equipment demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with others to design strategies for renewing and managing community seed supply areas.

     

Guest presenter Martin Driver from Plainsense Vegetation Management will share insights on evaluating species, developing seed production areas, and planning for sustainable restoration outcomes.

 

This interactive session will include demonstrations, discussion, and a project evaluation to gather participant feedback and ideas for future work.

Landholders, volunteers, community groups, and anyone interested in native seed collection, restoration ecology, and supporting local biodiversity.
