Winter whittling: School holiday workshop (Erin Earth)

7 July, 11.00 am to 2.00 pm, Wagga

Kids aged 9 to 12 years are invited to cook jaffles over a group fire, and learn some basic whittling skills. Kids can make digging sticks, wands or chopsticks using potato peelers.

 

2026 Yindyamarra fireside oration (Yindyamarra Nguluway)

9 July, 5.30 to 7.00 pm, Albury

The 2026 oration will be delivered by Josh Gilbert, a Worimi man doing his PhD in Indigenous agriculture post-colonisation. His oration will offer reflections on pivotal moments in agricultural truth-telling, exploring how Indigenous identity has been shaped and constrained through farming connections

 

Guided bird walks in Wagga (Murrumbidgee Field Naturalists)

Multiple dates between July and September

These walks generally run for 1 to 2 hours, depending on your time, the weather and the birds! Walks will be held at:

  • Rawlings Park (12 Jul & 9 Aug) – meet in Power Street, near the corner of Craft street
  • Silvalite Reserve (26 Jul & 6 Sep) – Meet at the truck stop on the Olympic Hwy, 300m from the Sturt Hwy
  • Rocky Hill (23 Aug) – meet at the path between 73-75 Simkin Cres Kooringal

Learn how to understand your farm finances, build a cashflow forecast and plan confidently for the year ahead. You’ll develop a practical 12-month cashflow forecast for your farming business, identify potential cashflow pinch points and plan ahead for challenges, set business goals and access handy financial templates and tools.

 

National renewables in agriculture conference and expo
