The Murrumbidgee Field Naturalists (MFN) are calling for applications for their 2024 Environmental Fund Grants. Grants of up to $5000.00 will be considered to assist with conservation in general, environmental education, increasing biodiversity or enhancing the understanding of the natural environment within the Murrumbidgee Valley.
MFN are a local organisation with the aims of facilitating and promoting the knowledge of natural history, and to encourage the preservation and protection of the Australian natural environment, especially that of the Murrumbidgee River Valley.
MFN have field trips around Griffith, Coleambally, Leeton, Narrandera, and Wagga Wagga and anyone from these regions with a project in mind is welcome to apply.
Successful past projects have included signage at environmental sites, tree planting, fencing projects, nest boxes and the production of a promotional video of the Ramsar listed Fivebough Wetland.
