Harvest Riverina is back to celebrate the region’s outdoor lifestyle on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 March 2026, two days packed full of food, gardening and community spirit.
Next year’s festival promises to be bigger and better, featuring more foodie and gardening personalities, cooking demonstrations and an expanded range of workshop spaces. Visitors can look forward to delicious food, live music and markets.
The conference day on Friday 20 March 2026 will be hosted in a larger venue to accommodate more participants, with an online option available for those wishing to explore how communities can strengthen regionally sustainable food systems.
The festival day will be held on Saturday 21 March 2026 at the Wagga Wagga Beach Riverside Precinct from 10am until 6pm. Entry is free, with workshops, entertainment, and plenty of locally grown food available to taste and purchase.
The whole region is invited to celebrate locally grown and sustainably produced food alongside musical talent. Visitors can meet special guests including:
- Costa Georgiadis from Gardening Australia
- Matthew Evans, food writer and TV chef
- Researcher Amy Carrad
- Paul West, chef, gardener, and host of River Cottage Australia
- Andrew & Chloe Taylor from Regional Circularity Cooperative in Bega, and
- Local Louise Freckleton from Highfield Farm & Woodland.
All of this while connecting with local producers and community garden groups. A full program of practical ‘How To’ gardening workshops will run throughout the day while local musicians play live in the background.
Each week across the Riverina, hundreds of volunteers are tending gardens, cooking meals and building connections in community spaces. Harvest Riverina brings all these groups together to share knowledge, celebrate achievements and inspire others to get involved.
