A Word from the Sustainable Agriculture Facilitator (March 2025)
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new project, the AgriWomen Connect Program, designed to support and celebrate the contributions of women in agriculture across the Riverina region. This initiative aims to provide women with the knowledge, skills, and networks necessary to thrive in the evolving landscape of agriculture, with a particular focus on Climate Smart Agriculture.
Project Overview
The AgriWomen Connect Program will kick off with a series of workshops in March, held during NSW Women’s Week, bringing together women from various agricultural backgrounds to share knowledge, experiences, and strategies for success in the industry. These workshops will offer a unique opportunity for participants to engage with expert speakers, participate in interactive activities, and connect with fellow women in agriculture.
What’s next after March?
Following the initial series of workshops in March, the AgriWomen Connect Program will continue with an expanded second phase called Soil, Stock, and Sustainability, scheduled to run in May 2025.
This phase will feature a series of workshops focusing on soil health, livestock management, Business and sustainable farming practices.
Want to come along?
We invite all women in agriculture to join us for these workshops. Whether you are a farmer, agribusiness professional, researcher, or student, these events are designed to provide valuable insights and foster a supportive community. Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance your skills, expand your network, and celebrate the achievements of women in the agricultural industry.
We look forward to seeing you there!
