Overview:
Join Murrumbidgee Landcare for a creative school holiday workshop exploring Gelli Art printing inspired by native plants.
This hands-on session invites participants to experiment with colour, texture, and pattern while creating their own unique monoprint artworks. Using simple techniques and playful processes, you’ll discover how to turn your favourite plants into bold, expressive prints.
Throughout the session, participants will:
- Learn how to use paint markers to draw directly onto Gelli printing plates.
- Experiment with vibrant colours, shapes, and patterns to create dynamic designs.
- Explore layering techniques by rolling paint and transferring images onto paper.
- Create a series of one-of-a-kind monoprint artworks inspired by native flora.
- Build confidence in creative expression through fun, guided art-making.
This workshop encourages creativity, experimentation, and a deeper appreciation of the natural world through art.
Who should attend:
Children aged 10 years and over, young creatives, and anyone interested in art and nature-inspired activities
What to bring:
All materials will be provided. Please wear clothes suitable for painting.
