Nature Journaling Workshop and Scavenger Hunt – Temora

Overview:
Join us for a family-friendly workshop designed to encourage children and parents to explore the local environment together through creativity, curiosity, and discovery.
Our Nature Journaling Workshop and Scavenger Hunt invites participants to slow down, observe the natural world, and uncover hidden treasures in the landscape while learning simple techniques to record their experiences through drawing, writing, and creative reflection.
Throughout the session, participants will:
- Learn simple and engaging nature journaling techniques suitable for all ages and experience levels.
- Take part in a guided scavenger hunt designed to encourage observation, teamwork, and curiosity.
- Discover local plants, insects, textures, colours, and patterns within the surrounding environment.
- Build confidence in creative expression while strengthening connections to nature and community.
- Enjoy a relaxed and interactive outdoor experience focused on mindfulness, exploration, and shared learning.
This workshop is designed to inspire wonder, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world through hands-on activities and guided exploration.
Who should attend:
Children, parents, carers, families, community members, and anyone interested in nature play, creativity, and connecting with the environment
What to bring:
Please bring along a water bottle and wear outdoor clothing.
This interactive session will include all art supplies needed for Nature Journaling.
