
Gemma Purcell and her husband Reiner run a mixed grazing and dryland cropping enterprise near Grong Grong in South Western NSW. Gemma is a full-time parent and part-time freelance writer and consultant, community creative and place maker with extensive experience in business development, project management and communications. She is actively involved in sustainability projects, is the Founder of the innovative community space – Grong Grong Earth Park, and has developed associated outreach community and educational programs. She is also the current Chair of the charity FoodSwell.
Gemma is passionate about finding and creating opportunities where cross disciplinary systems, community, businesses, environment and government can collaborate on the very foundations of rural, regional and urban community well-being, robust circular economies, and a healthy environment.
