I have been a Landcare member since the 1990’s.
I grew up on an irrigated rice farm in the Kooba area between Griffith and Darlington Point in NSW.
This greatly influenced my life as I studied agriculture at the former Wagga Agricultural University, now Charles Sturt University. Soon I joined the Wagga Agricultural Institute where I spent over 30 years working in plant and soil research.
I have a long term commitment to Wagga Urban Landcare Group (long-term treasurer), I am secretary for Downside Rural Fire Brigade, am an active JP on community desks, secretary of an online Rotary group, do long-distance client pick-ups for the Cancer Council and am on two Wagga Wagga City Council advisory groups.
