Junior Landcare has created a number of educational resources to encourage young people to participate in Landcare activities and build a closer connection with the land. These teaching resources are all aligned to support the Australian Curriculum.
More information is available on the Junior Landcare website.
How To Guides
These guides are designed to provide teachers and students with an understanding of how to undertake Junior Landcare projects in and around the school.
The ‘How To Guides’ were produced in collaboration with the Primary Industries Education Foundation, through funding from the Australian Government’s National Landcare Programme.
Curriculum Resources
The curriculum resources are designed to integrate environmental lessons inside and outside of the classroom at a primary school level. They comprise engaging and easy-to-understand teaching and learning sequences, and can be used by schools new to Landcaring and those who are already green thumbs.
The Curriculum Resources were produced and designed to support the Australian Curriculum. Sustainability is now one of the three cross curriculum priorities set by the Australian Curriculum, to help develop the knowledge, skills, values and world views needed to help people contribute to a more sustainable environment.
