Revegetation Expressions of Interest – Now Closed
The Landcare-Led Resilience Project sought expressions of interest to establish approximately 16 revegetation sites over the 2023/2024 period.
These sites contribute to demonstrating techniques to make revegetation more resilient to climate challenges and improve farm business resilience. Techniques explored include varying site preparation methods, planting densities, species mixes, and incorporating ground layers and grasses in revegetation projects.
Funding was available to assist landholders, and eligible sites were visited to assess their suitability for inclusion in the program.
Key Project Details:
- Demonstration sites contribute to public case studies and include baseline data collection for future research.
- There was no minimum size requirement, though larger sites were prioritized for cost efficiency.
- Funding could be allocated toward fencing materials, site preparation, plants, and planting costs, with a landholder contribution required.
Expression of Interest Period
The call for expressions of interest closed on 30 April 2023.
