A new book, Lighting the Path: A Journey to Heal People and Country, has been released by the Central Tablelands LLS which traces the challenges and discoveries made over the past ten years, as local Aboriginal people worked with Central Tablelands Local Land Services to reignite traditional knowledge and reconnect with their country. The book is a record of the learning and collaboration between Aboriginal people and the broader community in search of a better way to rehabilitate and care for our natural environment.
The story has been compiled by key authors Milton Lewis, Michelle Hines, Larry Towney, and Greg Ingram.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are warned that this book may contain images of deceased people and may offend some viewers.
This project has been generously funded through the Australian Governments former Caring for Country and National Landcare Program, as well as the NSW Governments Catchment Action initiative.
