Citizen science is scientific work undertaken by members of the general public, often in collaboration with or under the direction of professional scientists and scientific institutions. Citizen science is different than general volunteering as you are collecting valuable data!
The new SEED Citizen Science Hub has been set up to support and grow citizen science in NSW. The hub provides many benefits for project organisers and volunteers alike, including data visualisation, project promotion and networking with other like minded individuals.
If you are interested in participating in a citizen science project, you can search for opportunities under categories including: Animals, Birds, Environment, Photography, Climate and Weather, and Observation.
