2016 – 2017
Funded by the Bjarne K Dahl Trust
Murrumbidgee Landcare received a $15,000 grant to undertake this project, with the aim of mapping the distribution of the Inland River Red Gum (Eucalyptus camaldulensis), and assessing the health of the stands of these trees across the Riverina Plains. The project was officially launched on National Tree Day 31 July 2016.
Below is an article by Local Landcare Coordinator for the Rangelands region, Annabel Lugsdin, published in The Riverine Grazier, describing the project and the importance of mapping and assessing the health of these Inland River Red Gum stands
